Primary Teacher

We have opportunities across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with both regular and flexible work available.

Above all, we are looking for Primary Teachers who can walk into a classroom, quickly build rapport with pupils and provide a positive and purposeful day of learning.

What will you be doing?

The exact responsibilities will depend on whether you choose day-to-day supply or a longer-term position. As a Primary Teacher, you could be:

  • Taking responsibility for a class within EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Delivering creative and engaging lessons across the curriculum
  • Picking up existing planning and ensuring continuity of learning
  • Planning sequences of lessons during longer-term assignments
  • Adjusting activities so that all pupils can access and enjoy their learning
  • Providing appropriate challenge and support for different abilities
  • Creating clear expectations and positive classroom routines
  • Assessing learning and identifying next steps
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants to maximise classroom support
  • Encouraging children to become confident and independent learners
  • Ensuring safeguarding and pupil welfare remain at the heart of your practice

 

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A minimum of 6 months’ UK classroom teaching experience
  • Secure knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Experience within EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
  • The ability to quickly establish yourself within a new classroom
  • Confident and consistent behaviour management
  • Ability to adapt teaching for different abilities and learning needs
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • References covering your most recent 24 months
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to have one processed

  • Lichfield and surrounding areas
  • £140.00 – £253.00 per day
  • Opportunities starting from October 2026
